Flatpack Kitchen Installation In production at ECG

Drop a Bunnings Kaboodle or IKEA PDF estimate. Every item parsed, matched to our supplier-pack catalogue, and priced from per-item assembly, install, electrical, and plumbing minutes — instantly.

The problem

Customers walk in with PDF estimates. You walk out with a Saturday rebuild of every line item.

Half your kitchen jobs start with a Bunnings Kaboodle or IKEA print-out the customer carries in. The supplier estimate is the easy part — the customer already has cabinet sizes, doors, drawers, kicker boards, end panels. Your job: turn that estimate into a quote that prices your install. Today, that's an hour of typing each line into a spreadsheet, looking up your assembly times from memory, adding the sparky's hours, adding the plumber's hours, hoping you didn't miss a 90-degree corner that needs a filler. Flatpack Kitchen Installation does it in two minutes — without forgetting the corner.

How it works

PDF in. Costed quote out. Four steps.

  • 1. Drop the PDF. The customer's Bunnings Kaboodle or IKEA print-out, dragged into the quote builder. The plugin's AI parser extracts every line — cabinets, doors, drawers, panels, kickers, fillers, hardware.
  • 2. Catalogue match. Each parsed line is matched against the live Kaboodle and IKEA catalogues we maintain on the platform. Match confidence flagged on the few items that need your eye; the rest auto-confirm.
  • 3. Per-item minutes applied. Every catalogue item carries metadata: assembly minutes, install minutes, electrical task codes (where applicable), plumbing task codes (sinks, taps, dishwasher hook-up). The plugin sums the minutes per trade and applies your hourly rates from your pricing settings.
  • 4. Quote ready. Cabinetry costs from the supplier estimate, install labour from your minutes, sparky time, plumber time, removal and disposal, remedial allowance — all line-item priced and ready to send. Customer signs on the iPad; deposit lands via Stripe.
Suppliers covered

Two of Australia's biggest, parsed line-by-line.

The plugin ships with PDF parsers and catalogue mappings for Bunnings Kaboodle (the flat-pack range stocked in every Bunnings warehouse) and IKEA Australia (Metod / Sektion cabinet systems). Each supplier's catalogue carries its own item codes, assembly times, and trade-task minutes — calibrated against real ECG installs, not vendor marketing copy. Bunnings partnership is in active negotiation; the parser already works on Kaboodle PDFs today.

Why it works

Per-item assembly + install + sparky + plumber minutes, not blanket markups.

Every catalogue item — every base cabinet, every wall cabinet, every island, every overhead — has its own labour profile in the platform. A 600mm pantry takes longer to assemble than a 300mm filler. A microwave-housing wall cabinet adds five minutes of sparky time for the GPO and ten for the data cable. A double-bowl sink with disposal unit adds twenty minutes for the plumber and ten for the sparky. The pricing engine sums those minutes against your tenant pricing settings — your assembler's rate, your sparky's rate, your plumber's rate — and produces a quote that reflects the actual job, not a percentage guess. Variations recompute in real time when the customer adds a panel or upgrades a door style.

Who it's for

Kitchen installers and renovation builders doing Bunnings or IKEA flat-pack jobs.

Cabinet-installers running a flat-pack-only operation, multi-trade renovators where the customer brought their own kitchen design, and anyone who has ever spent 90 minutes typing a Kaboodle estimate into a quoting spreadsheet. If your customers walk in with a PDF, this is the plugin that makes it pay for itself on the first job.

PDF in. Quote out. Two minutes, not two hours.
